Goldie Hawn's Ball

I recently had the privilege to be Goldie Hawn’s “official” photographer at the Depot in Minneapolis. This is my third time photographing Ms. Hawn for the Goldie Hawn Institute fundraiser. Goldie says:

“To cope with the problems of our difficult times, children need strong mentorship through their schools, faith groups, and parent organizations. They need careful guidance to learn how to think, utilizing the power of their natural wisdom, rather than simply being taught what to think. My goal in founding the Goldie Hawn Foundation is to create programs that introduce the study of mindfulness to young people. Mindfulness practice helps open one’s mind to seeing new possibilities and approaches to handling interactions with others: whether it be on a personal or a societal level. As our youth discover a wider perspective of reality, their capacity for inner peace, equanimity and joy are enhanced, leading to greater feelings of compassion and generosity towards others. Activating these positive emotions paves the way toward a future of greater possibility for healthy global dialogue with peaceful resolutions.”

Goldie is a beautiful person inside and out and a great pleasure to work with! I will be posting images from this event and others on the website VERY soon.

Bless!
